Recruiters and business-development people at US IT staffing and consulting firms who source on LinkedIn and need a work email or a checked phone number for the person on screen.
From the company's own naming pattern and mail-server checks where possible, from addresses already proven in our engine, from published sources on the company's site, and from a data provider only when those come up empty. Whichever rung answers, the result is graded the same way.
Because the company's mail server accepts every address, so no check can confirm this one. It follows the company's known pattern and is our best guess — shown, labelled, and free.
Many sit behind gateways that answer "yes" to every address. No vendor can prove those; some sell the guess as verified anyway. We label it unproven and do not charge.
It checks a number you already have with the carrier — live or not, mobile or desk. Finding a number from a name alone is not offered today.
The extension is built not to be the reason: it never modifies the LinkedIn page, never runs in the background, never visits profiles for you, calls no LinkedIn API, and paces lookups (8 seconds apart, 15 per ten minutes, 40 a day by default). LinkedIn's rules are theirs and unpublished, so nobody can promise you anything — but these are the defaults that keep a tool from looking like a script.
No. It reads one profile when you click, and nothing else.
Two fields from the profile you have open — the name and the employer as displayed — plus your API key, to LeadProve's server. Nothing else. See the extension privacy policy.
No. Your leads, statuses and notes are yours. What the engine shares across customers is facts about addresses — that a given address was proven or bounced — never who looked it up or why. We do not resell a database of captured leads.
Yes — CSV export from the Leads tab at any time, on every plan.
No. Sign up with your work email, confirm the address, and 90 proven contacts a month are yours — plus the 500-credit sign-up bonus, released 50 a month.
Every new account gets a one-time pool of 500 credits. Each month, 50 of them are added to your balance alongside your plan's credits — so a Free account has up to 140 proven contacts a month for its first ten months. The pool is valid for 12 months from the day you confirm your email, and it keeps releasing if you move to a paid plan. Like all Free credits, what is not used by month-end does not carry over.
Today each person creates their own login; write to us to have logins joined to one shared credit pool and we will set it up. Self-serve team invites are coming.
The extension can be pointed at a different engine URL in its settings. Write to us if you are interested in a self-hosted arrangement.
