LeadProve Chrome extension — privacy policy

The extension finds a work email address for a LinkedIn profile you have open. This page lists every piece of data it touches. It is short because the extension does very little.
What it collects
When — and only when — you click Find work email, the extension reads two things from the profile page you already have open: the person's name and their employer's name, as displayed. That is the entire collection. It does not read an email address from the page; LinkedIn does not display one, and the extension contains no code that would extract one if it did.
What it sends, and where
Those two fields, together with your API key, are sent to app.leadprove.com — LeadProve's server — or to a different engine URL if you have changed it in Settings. There is no other destination. The extension makes no other network request and calls no LinkedIn endpoint.
What it stores
In your browser's extension storage, on your device only: the engine URL, your API key, your daily lookup cap and a count of lookups used today. Uninstalling the extension deletes all of it.
What it never does
- Run in the background — the reader sits idle until you click; it registers no observers or timers.
- Change the LinkedIn page — nothing is injected; LinkedIn's own scripts see an unmodified page.
- Visit profiles, open tabs, walk search results or act while you are not looking.
- Read your messages, connections, feed, or any page other than the profile you clicked on.
- Track you — no analytics, telemetry or advertising code of any kind.
- Pool what you look up into a shared or resold database.
Permissions
- activeTab — to read the name and employer from the tab you clicked on, at that moment.
- scripting — to insert the page reader into a tab that was open before the extension was installed, so you do not have to reload.
- storage — for the settings above.
- app.leadprove.com — the one host the extension talks to. A self-hosted engine URL is asked for separately when you save it.
